Overview
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) lets your GP send prescriptions securely and directly to your nominated pharmacy. By nominating Gilbert & Johnson Pharmacy, you no longer need to collect paper prescriptions from the surgery before dispensing.
What is EPS Nomination?
EPS is an NHS digital prescribing system. Once nominated, prescriptions from your GP are sent directly to us electronically, improving convenience and reducing delays associated with paper handling.

Setting up your EPS nomination is quick and easy.
- Ask your GP surgery to nominate Gilbert & Johnson Pharmacy
- Visit us in-store and we can help complete nomination
- Use our online nomination option where available
- Future eligible prescriptions are then sent directly to us
- You can change nomination at any time

EPS nomination is a free NHS service with no charge to set up or switch pharmacy.
Important Information
EPS nomination applies to future eligible prescriptions. Some items may still require specific handling outside routine EPS flow. Ask our team if you are unsure about a particular prescription type.
